01 — Our Approach

We are WalkerMalagoni, an interior design practice working for businesses, entrepreneurs and investor groups looking for a different approach to commercial and healthcare design.

Established in 2010, we design boutique, modern spaces that people talk about. Stand-out experiences that help to raise the value of your business.

WalkerMalagoni — Lucy and Charlotte met at Chelsea’s KLC School of Design and formed their interior design practice in 2010, quickly gaining clients in the high-end residential sector, designing private homes in London and the home counties.

Interiors to Turn Heads — In more recent years they’ve applied their design, craftsmanship and management skills to the commercial sector, with a particular focus on re-imagining interior design conventions within public and private healthcare.

“It was fantastic working with Lucy and Charlotte on both of my projects. They have transformed both spaces and made a huge difference to the way the properties look and feel.”

02 — Our Team

Lucy Walker — Design Director

After gaining a degree in Modern Art, Design and Film at Northumbria University, Lucy spent her formative years at London’s Fine Art Trade Guild. She then ran a London-based property management company for overseas clientele.

Charlotte Malagoni — Design Director

Having studied Business and Management at Exeter University, Charlotte went on to take a position in the insurance industry, working and travelling throughout North America before returning to the UK to realise her creative ambitions and love of interior design.

“Charlotte and Lucy are a pleasure to deal with. The whole process was quick and very easy, saving me a lot of time. They always kept me up to date during the process and fully informed. The end result was stunning!”

03 — What We Do

Interior Design — Consulting on how to best utilise your space. Full service design of healthcare and commercial spaces and services. Collaboration with your architect and/or design team.

Sourcing — Finding appropriate furniture, fixtures, fittings, materials and fabrics for your scheme. Choosing the craftspeople or manufacturers, and briefing and managing them.

Bespoke Pieces — Designing and commissioning one-off furniture pieces and cabinetry, such as reception desks, shelving schemes or tailored feature lighting.

Design Delivery — Supporting tendering with detailed drawing, specification and budgeting. Briefing, scheduling, managing contractors, specialists and craftspeople to get the best out of them.

04 — Look Book

Our Look Book showcases two of our most recent projects:

White & Co, London — One of London’s premium dental and aesthetic practices located within the Battersea Power Station development. Tailored to the history of its location and to the client’s lifestyle, it is important not only how the space looks, but how it makes clients feel. A discreet and sophisticated style where patients come for an experience they wouldn’t find anywhere else – an interplay of harmonious volumes and strict lines softened by lighting and authentic materials.

Wytes, London — A dental practice in Elephant & Castle that aims to deliver a new era of self-care. Our design embodies the vibrancy of the areas regeneration as well as the brand’s identity. Every part of the Wytes interior was carefully considered to ensure the wellbeing of the patients and dental team. It was paramount for everyone to feel calm from the moment they arrived, but invigorated and uplifted when they left.

We’ve also recently completed:

Berkeley Square, London — The transformation of a dated commercial space in the heart of Mayfair for a boutique property investment firm. A Madman inspired scheme for work and entertainment, it was important to represent who they were and deliver a lasting impression for clients and visitors. Our team of artisans created an entirely bespoke interior, including cabinetry, partition screening and lighting.

Chatham, Kent — The transformation of a retail unit into a cutting edge dental practice, inspired by the streamlined experience within an Apple Store. Without traditional receptionists and waiting areas, the scheme design needed to lead customers intuitively through the practice. Soft furnishings were stripped back in favour of monochromatic stone and wooden surfaces, set to appeal to Millennials wanting a premium, technology driven experience.

And we’re currently working on:

Upper Islington, London — The conversion of an existing office into a boutique private dentistry practice that will sit within a portfolio of three sites.

Beckenham, London — Collaborating with an architect on the reconfiguration and design of an existing NHS and private dental practice.

East Croydon, London — A multi-chair, multi-site group of Orthodontic Practices including a new build.
